HIT/CERTH leads the project that will deliver safer shared mobility services in two pilot sites in Thessaloniki and Sant Cugat in Barcelona addressing hygienic requirements & ensuring #SocialDistancing.
The 9th meet up on digital analytics was held on 2nd October at ΟΚ!Thess in Thessaloniki. The main track was “Smart Cities” and the 180 enthusiastic meet uppers, had an active role showing interest on the projects that upgrade our everyday life in Thessaloniki. On 23-28th September the Organizing Committee of CCS2018 and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki co-organized the Conference on Complex Systems 2018 (CCS2018) in Thessaloniki. The main tracks of the conference included Information and Communication Technologies, Infrastructure, Planning and Environment as well as applications of Complex Systems in different sectors. LOGIMATIC couldn’t be absent. The algorithm of Autonomous Port Vehicle Fleet Management developed within the project’s framework was presented by Dr. Josep-Maria Salanova Grau gaining the interest of various participants. http://ccs2018.web.auth.gr/.
A Special Interest Session which provided an overview of satellite technologies from the GSA on the benefit for the deployment of multimodality, new mobility services and digital platforms was taken place on the first day of the congress. There Dr. Josep Maria Salanova Grau highlighted the benefits of Global Navigation Satellite System-GNSS use through Thessaloniki’s pilots. The next days in the technical sessions he presented “Mobility as a Service” components towards economic indicators in Europe as well as the algorithm of autonomous port vehicle fleet management, developed within the framework of LOGIMATIC project (https://logimatic-project.eu/).

LOGIMATIC and the benefits of autonomous straddle carriers were presented at the Plenary Meeting of Technical Committee ISO/TC 8/SC 11 “Intermodal and Short Sea Shipping” on 20th September. The Technical Committee, showing interest in the project, proposed LOGIMATIC to be included in the possible new work items for future work.
